Time with your Child

Children experience different stages of development that bring about changes in their physical, emotional and social well-being. It is therefore the responsibility of parents to be their child’s best friend and teacher. It is a known fact, that our busy schedules and professional commitments do not allow us to dedicate as much time as we need to for our kids, but it is necessary that you take out time from your busy schedule for the same.

Parenting the new-age digital dependents is not that easy! Here are a few tips that’ll help you out!

  1. An Ideal Timetable: Create a workable timetable that lets you spend time with your child. Give little time for learning, recreation and fun. This helps not only in bonding but also lets your monitor your child’s progress.
  2. Make them Self-Reliant: Doing your child’s homework is not always a good idea. Instead, you can spend some time before he/she begins the work and ensure clear understanding of what should be done. You now set a stage ready for your child to finish the task with little help from your end.
  3. Extra-Curricular Activities: Engage in physical activities and sports with your child over the weekends. This lets you identify their strengths early and plan their learning accordingly. It often leads to self-discovery and enlightenment for the kid too.
  4. Be a Role Model: A child is influenced by so many things- Movies, teachers, and friends and so on. Be a joyous, ambitious and a wonderful human being that makes your child admire you. Your child should not fear you but thoroughly enjoy your company at all times.

These are just some of the ways a parent can engage with his child on a consistent basis. Each family has its own of bonding with their children. The objective is to create a fulfilling way of living for a young mind.
